Description of Works
Conservation Halton’s restoration program works to implement priority environmental restoration projects. The Nemo Camp slope stability and erosion control project is in partnership with Scouts Canada and prioritized as an overall benefit activity for Shinner shiner (Notropis photogenis) in Bronte Creek. 


The project includes, but is not limited to, the rehabilitation of approximately 2160 m2 of eroded valley 
slope along a portion of Bronte Creek. The contractor is required to implement slope rehabilitation 
enhancements which include the following key features:
1. Toe protection along the outside channel meander with a vegetated rock buttress
2. Regrading of a point bar along the inside bank of the channel meander
3. Surficial restoration of the eroded valley slope face with bioengineering
