Conservation Halton is interested in contracting for the following works: The 16 Mile Creek Project is being led by Conservation Halton on privately owned farmland. The intent of the project is to restore fish passage, restore the creek’s hydrological functions and improve fish habitat in 16 Mile Creek. This project site is ‘contributing habitat’ for endangered fish species Redside Dace. Improvements will benefit Redside Dace living downstream. The intended works will include: - Farm crossing replacement - culvert removal - overflow culvert removal - span crossing installation - laneway repair - Remnant Mill Dam removal - Removal & disposal of remnant Mill Dam (concrete, boulders, etc.) - Re-grading banks/floodplain & off-site disposal of surplus fill - Re-grading channel (~25 metres) - Installation of channel habitat features (~25 metres) |
