Conservation Halton is interested in soliciting bids from qualified and experienced contractors for
restoration works relating to watercourses for a project in Sixteen Mile Creek, summer 2026,
located at 6198 Trafalgar Road, Milton. Bids are requested for the complete services and supply
of machinery, labour, and materials, for the construction of the project as per the detailed design
package.
This project involves erosion control and creek restoration works as compensation under the
former Endangered Species Act to offset impacts to Silver Shiner habitat from the Britannia
Road expansion. The work area is located along the East Branch of Sixteen Mile Creek within
Wyldewood Golf and Country Club in Milton, Ontario, between two golf course bridges.
Significant bank erosion has destabilized the channel, disrupted fluvial processes, and is
advancing toward a nearby trail, requiring stabilization. Works include bank protection and
realignment of the channel.
